How Our Carpets Last 100+ Years: Technical Details

The technical advantage of our hand-knotting technique vs industrial production

💫

Double-Knotting Technique

Our signature double-knotting method creates 625-1,000 knots per square inch, ensuring your carpet maintains its shape and pattern for 50+ years of daily use.

Premium Himalayan Wool

We source wool exclusively from high-altitude sheep (10,000+ feet) in Uttarakhand. This wool contains more lanolin, making carpets naturally stain-resistant and more durable.

💫

Traditional Dyeing Process

Our in-house dye workshop uses recipes from 1920: indigo for blues, madder root for reds, and saffron for yellows. These natural dyes become richer with age, unlike synthetic alternatives.

From Design to Delivery: Our 4-Stage Production

From New Zealand wool selection to our 23-point quality inspection

01

Wool Selection

We source premium New Zealand wool and Indian silk directly from verified suppliers. Each batch is tested for strength, texture, and dye absorption quality.

02

Natural Dyeing

Traditional recipes using indigo, madder, turmeric, and pomegranate rind. The dyeing process takes 3-5 days to achieve deep, long-lasting colors that improve with age.

03

Hand Knotting

Each knot is tied by hand on a vertical loom. Our weavers complete 8,000-12,000 knots per day. A 6x9 ft carpet requires 3-4 months of continuous work.

04

Finishing & Quality Check

After weaving, carpets are washed, sheared, and sun-dried. Each piece undergoes 23-point quality inspection before receiving our seal of authenticity.
